Who am I?

Hi, my name is John McLean and I am a student at Oxford Brookes University in Oxford, UK studying Geography and International Relations.  I was born in Australia but have lived in England for 13 years.  I went to Lancing College in Sussex and in my gap year I travelled to Italy, New Zealand, Brunei and Switzerland.  I have spent the past 3 summers working as a tutor in Italy and Austria with The English Camp Company based in Italy and I am now their senior tutor.  It's my favourite thing to do in the summer!

I work part-time at Summer Fields Prep School in Oxford and have worked at Rydal Penrhos School in Wales and Scots College in Wellington, NZ.

I love travelling and playing sport - who doesn't!



What do I offer?

I will help you with your English language either via skype or in person in Oxford.  I've been teaching some foreign students and sometimes we meet in a coffee shop in Oxford. 

Skype is a great way to teach too and I have children from Italy and Hong Kong who enjoy my individual classes. I teach children from 8 years old and up, but I also have adults who enjoy converstation classes.

The most important thing is that the classes are fun. I make my kids classes really interactive with games and activities and for the adults I can help with your everyday conversation, written documents and presentations.

Fees

£10 per hour
For skype lessons I offer blocks of 5 lessons after an introductory complimetary lesson.
